BIOGRAPHY OF DAN BRICE, B.Sc., Kin. A.T.

How did Dan become a foot specialist?

Dan was born and raised on the West Island of Montreal. Early in life he realized that physical fitness was an integral part of living a happy, healthy lifestyle. He then moved down the “401” to St. Catharines, Ontario where he balanced numerous sporting activities with playing music, school and work.  Currently Dan has found his home in Calgary and is enjoying his 20th year in Alberta.

Through sports Dan gained first-hand experience of physical injuries and how these injuries can affect your lifestyle. After completing a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Ottawa, Dan spent two years studying Athletic Therapy with top foot specialists at Mount Royal University which gave him further understanding of how the body compensates for injury and helped him gain further knowledge of the mechanisms of injury.

Dan is not an orthopedic doctor or foot doctor, but his education, training and experience help prevent his clients from needing such medical services.

Married to his wife Nicole,  Family activities with their two sons Curtis and Alistair  certainly brings excitement and a busy lifestyle.  Dan enjoys being active, whether it be walking, hiking, skating and skiing

Dan has been the Director of the GAITWAY and a foot specialist for over 20 years, developing a treatment approach which combines accurate assessment of movement patterns with prevention and correction utilizing custom prescription orthotics.
